UK actor calls for food aid to Gaza

Renowned British actor Alex Lawther has joined crowds in London at an emergency protest, demanding urgent government intervention to halt the starvation crisis in Gaza.

Lawther spoke passionately at the demonstration, denouncing what he described as the “forced starvation of the Palestinian people happening in Gaza right now.”

“There needs to be more aid coming in to Gaza. It needs to be driven in, to be parachuted in,” Lawther said. “The violence of Israel against the Palestinian people has to end, there’s no more to say—action has to be taken.”

Lawther described a “growing sense of collective outrage” among people in London and Britain at large, moved by the increasing public solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

The latest protest in London adds to mounting pressure on UK leaders to condemn Israel’s actions and do more to support civilians affected by the continuing genocide in Gaza.
